We operate as a small‑batch home bakery producing South African‑inspired sweet treats such as koeksisters, milk tart, peppermint crisp tart, malva pudding, and other baked goods.

3. Products & Allergens

• All products are handmade in a domestic kitchen that handles gluten, dairy, eggs, nuts, soy, and other common allergens.
• While we take care to avoid cross‑contamination, we cannot guarantee that any product is allergen‑free.
• Full ingredient lists are available upon request.
• By purchasing, you acknowledge that you understand the allergen risks.

4. Ordering

• Orders can be placed via our website, social media, or direct message.
• Orders are only confirmed once payment has been received.
• All orders are freshly made to order. Please allow 3–5 days for shipping, delivery, or collection.
• We reserve the right to decline or cancel orders at our discretion (e.g., due to availability, scheduling, or ingredient shortages).

5. Pricing & Payment

• All prices are listed in GBP (£).
• Prices may change without prior notice.
• Payment must be made in full at the time of ordering via payment methods: bank transfer, payment link via website, debit credit and credit card.
• Orders are not confirmed until payment is received.

6. Delivery & Collection

• For postal orders, we use Royal Mail / courier services. Delivery times are estimates and may vary.

7. Shipping of Perishable Goods

• We cannot refund items that spoil due to missed deliveries or delayed collection.

8. Cancellations & Refunds

Because our products are made to order:

• Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the agreed collection/delivery time.
• Cancellations made after this period may not be eligible for a refund.
• Refunds are not offered for: 
  • Change of mind
  • Missed deliveries
  • Items damaged after collection
  • Postal delays outside our control
• If there is an issue with your order, please contact us within 24 hours of receiving it with photos and details. We will assess the situation and offer a suitable resolution where appropriate.

9. Food Handling & Storage

• Instructions for storing and consuming your treats will be provided where relevant.
• Once collected or delivered, the customer is responsible for proper storage.
• We are not liable for issues arising from improper handling after the product leaves our possession.

10. Intellectual Property

• All photos, branding, product descriptions, and content on our pages belong to Thistle Delights.
• You may not copy, reproduce, or use our content without permission.

11. Privacy

• We only collect information necessary to process your order.
• Your personal data will never be sold or shared with third parties except for delivery purposes.
